The beautiful Northumbrian coastline and a its long sandy beaches makes a good days outing and a smallish further north romantic Holy Island is well worth a go to. For shopping the Metro Centre is easily on hand and Kielder Water gives forest drives walks water sports and cycling tracks. The bungalow has oil fired central heating and is carefully looked after next to the owner to provide a warm and snug base.
